The Economic Awareness Council (EAC) is thankful for the support received in 2018! Over 25,000 youth in need from low-income communities across Chicago have benefited from in-person, financial capability programming through EAC programs. Over 26,390 youth have pledged to save each year and over 7,000 youth have completed the Economic Awareness Council online financial education tools. Finally, over 4,589 youth in Chicago have used direct deposit and banking to manage their pay! A majority of these youth were banking for the first time! Specifically, EAC individual donations have helped many youths to begin saving, and the EAC sponsored over $7,000 in youth scholarships in 2018.
What does this support meant for students? Check out some of our youth video testimonial to the right.
