Thank you to our donors!

The Economic Awareness Council (EAC) is thankful for the support received in 2022 and 2023! Over 20,000 youth in need from low-income communities across Chicago have benefited from in-person, financial capability programming through EAC programs each year. 16,877 youth pledged to save and over 4,500 youth have completed the Economic Awareness Council online financial education tools in Chicago in 2023. Finally, over 8,000 youths in Chicago have used direct deposit and banking to manage their pay!  A majority of these youth were banking for the first time! Specifically, EAC individual donations have helped many youths to begin saving, and the EAC sponsored over $10,000 in youth scholarships in 2023.

What does this support meant for students? Check out one of our youth video testimonials below.

“The past three years of working with On the Money Magazine has led to some of the most rewarding and memorable moments of my life. When I joined this company, I started as an intern in the marketing team, and today I stand as the president of the magazine. Seeing this company become more successful everyday has led me to believe in my capacity to make a difference."
