OUR OBJECTIVES
Objectives include educating students & families about the basics of saving, budgeting, banking, credit, investing, business and entrepreneurship as well as empowering individuals to set and reach their financial goals. The EAC provides financial and economic education to students from kindergarten through college and their families. The EAC also works to advocate for high quality, consumer friendly bank account access for youth and families in low to moderate income communities as well as payroll policies at employers that encourage direct deposit, banking and saving.
EAC programs and materials are relevant and appropriate for children and young adults because they rely on real life examples, stories, and peer based information youth can really use. This approach gets results. One hundred percent of teachers using our programs agreed that their students "learned more about economics and finance in their EAC program" and over 9 out of 10 teen and young adult participants agree that they "learned something new in EAC programs".
