Programs for Teens

EAC teen programs provide information about financial skills that will be needed after high school.  Programs include videos from college students regarding challenges they have faced and also include activities about topics such as budgeting, saving, checking, insurance, and credit cards.

Teens Mean Business is a by teens for teens business publication that highlight financial, entrepreneurship and business stories for teens. This by teens for teens publication is produced in the Chicago area. Applications for internships are still available. Teen interns write, produce, research and manage this publication with financial and journalism mentors.

Offered in Partnership with Youth Communications/Supported in part through a grant from CRA International & HSBC – North America.

Youth Communication/New Expression and the Economic Awareness Council are partnering with the Chicago Public Library to tell you more about how teens are making a difference by creating Teens Mean Business, a magazine about financial subjects written for teens by teens. Learn more about how you can be a part of this fun and informative initiative! (Teen interns are paid and coached by mentors who help them write and research their articles.)
